WORLD WATER DAY

Friday, 29th of March 2019, Casiguran Water District employees trooped to the Inlagadian mountains, with tree planting materials on both hands, to plant trees and continuously protect the watershed. The activity was conducted in connection with the World Water Day celebration.

With this year’s theme: “Hawak Kamay Tubig Kaagapay,” CWD employees managed to plant 100 Narra Trees. The worthwhile activity is also in line with the District’s relentless efforts to protect and conserve the watershed.

The activity, almost a tradition in Casiguran every World Water Day, conducted silently without any fanfares, was considered successful in adding forest cover to continually assure the provision of potable water to the District’s water consumers.

The celebration was also in compliance with the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) Memorandum Circular 003.19.
