UNMODIFIED OPINION ATTAINED ANEW

For three (3) consecutive years, the Commission on Audit (COA) rendered “Unmodified Opinion” to Casiguran Water District as contained in the Annual Audit Report dated June 7, 2019. COA Regional Director Roland S. Rey thru the Resident Auditors transmitted the audit report of the accounts and operations of CWD for the year ended December 31, 2018, in compliance with Section 2, Article IX-D of the Philippine Constitution and Section 43 of Presidential Decree No. 1445, otherwise known as the Government Auditing Code of the Philippines.

The audit was conducted to: (a) ascertain the level of assurance that may be placed on management’s assertion on the financial statements; (b) determine the propriety of transactions as well as the extent of compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; (c) recommend agency improvement and opportunities; and (d) determine the extent of implementations of prior year’s audit recommendations.

Considering that the previously mentioned “Unmodified Opinion’ rendered by COA is considered the highest rating that can be given to a government agency, the Board, thru Chairman Ruiz H. Jersey, expressed satisfaction and encouraged the management to continue the good work with zeal, dedication and honesty.
