SPCHRMP Inc. Holds Second Monthly Meeting on Work Flexibility and Health Insurance
The Sorsogon Provincial Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners (SPCHRMP) Inc., held its monthly meeting on February 18, 2025, at the CSC Sorsogon Building, City Hall Complex, Cabid-An, Sorsogon City.
Mrs. Rica L. Dimaano, a representative from Insular Life HMO Agency, led a presentation on medical insurance packages. Attendees learned about the various inclusions and exclusions in the offered health plans, gaining valuable insights into how these packages can benefit the employees.
The meeting also featured a thorough discussion by Ms. Marife L. Luzuriaga, Acting Director II of CSC FO Sorsogon, on the Policies for Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) under CSC Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 2022. The policy aims to balance efficient government service delivery with the health and safety of public employees, mandating the adoption of flexible work schedules across government agencies.
Based on the policy, government agencies shall formulate internal guidelines on flexible work arrangements which is appropriate or applicable to their mandates and functions. The adoption of these arrangements shall then be incorporated into the agency’s Public Service Continuity Plans (PSCP) and furnish a copy the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
The meeting, attended by HR professionals and administrative officers from local government agencies and water districts, highlighted these important policies and sparked discussions on how local agencies can integrate such arrangements while maintaining productivity and public service efficiency.
