Not even COVID-19 can stop the Board of Directors (BOD) of Casiguran Water District (CWD) to conduct its regular meeting.
The Board Meeting was presided by Chairman Ruiz H. Jersey
The BOD of CWD, with all-senior-citizen members, conducted a Board Meeting on April 1, 2020 via Skype. The Board directed the management to waive the penalties for the months of March and April. This was done in consideration of the lockdown order for the whole of Luzon whereby great majority of Casiguranons were affected and practically have no means of livelihood.
The disconnection of water services of delinquent water consumers was ordered. Also, the readings and deliveries of water bills for the month of April were also suspended. The readings for the month of March will automatically be assumed to be the readings for the month of April. The increase or decrease of the actual consumption for the month of April will be reflected in succeeding billings. All these measures were instituted and aligned to the directives of the national government in relation to the exponential spread of the deadly corona virus.
The virtual Board Meeting was made possible by the in-house Information Technology personnel – Norman Habla. Thanks to the new technologies available, the Board members in the performance of their duties in this difficult time were spared from the dangers brought about by COVID-19.
