New Surface-Water Treatment Facility Boosts Water Level at Tughan Ground Reservoir and Water Pressure
CWD Production Head Engr. Jomar H. Venus presented an update on the new surface-water treatment facility and its impact on the district’s water system during the Board of Directors’ meeting on October 28, 2024, at the CWD Conference Room.
Data shows that the facility has raised the Tughan Ground Reservoir’s water level from 6-7 tiles to 9-11 tiles, reaching its full capacity, which is 2,800 cubic meters. It has also boosted water pressure in the Poblacion area from 4-5 psi to 5-7 psi, ensuring more reliable flow for households and businesses.
As of October, monthly water production has increased from 280,000 cubic meters to 284,500 cubic meters. While daily consumption has risen from 2,122.9 cubic meters (as of July 2024) to 2,251.6 cubic meters (as of October 2024), giving a total increase of 128.7 cubic meters.
This growth highlights the district’s ability to meet rising demand, under the leadership of GM Engr. Eduardo P. Tejada and the support of the Board of Directors, ensuring continuous and reliable service that anticipates the future water needs of the community.
