CWD Takes Part in CSC’s Tree Growing for a Cause, Promoting Environmental Stewardship

As part of the 124th Anniversary celebration of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), the Casiguran Water District (CWD) actively participated in the Tree Growing for a Cause event, themed “Malasakit sa Kalikasan, Malasakit sa Lingkod Bayan, held on September 20, 2024 (Friday) at Amomonting, Castilla Sorsogon.

This environmental initiative brought together more than 500 government employees from Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), and Local Water Districts (LWDs) across 14 municipalities and one city in the province of Sorsogon.

CWD was represented by Ruby R. Buban, HR/GSO-A, along with team members Joshua Sarcia, Frank Joseph Tisoy, Jesry Ivy Magas, and Janice May Dometita from the Accounting and Budget Section, together with Angela Mutia from the Office of the General Manager. The event is organized in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

The tree-planting activity was one of the highlights of CSC’s 124th Anniversary celebration, showcasing a united effort among public servants to give back to the environment while honoring their commitment to public service. The event not only focused on reforestation but also emphasized the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices.

Through its participation, CWD continues to demonstrate its dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainability, aligning with the broader goals of community service and ecological conservation. This initiative also reflects the solidarity among government employees across various sectors in their shared responsibility to care for the environment and contribute to a greener future.
