CWD CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
International Women’s Day is celebrated not only to highlight the achievements and the important role of women in the community but also to raise the awareness against gender biases. It aims to create a better gender-neutral society. Casiguran Water District, on March 8, 2022, joins the celebration thru the conduct of simple but symbolic activity that gives honor and recognition to the women of society.
The women-employees of CWD received bouquets and tokens of appreciation who then went out of their way and gave flowers and tokens to women-employees from LGU Casiguran, Local MDRRMO, Casiguran Fire Station, Casiguran Police Station. They also visited Casiguran Public Market and gave some women-market-goers, from different walks of life, a flower and tokens.
The tokens given were chocolates and assorted anti-covid stuff.
Engr. Eduardo P. Tejada, General Manager of Casiguran Water District also delivered a short inspiring video message. He magnified the role of women in any given group, organization, community and country. He also conveyed the need to fully respect human rights, with emphasis on women, children and LGBT rights in a male-dominated world.
