CWD Attends Coordination Meeting for Palarong Bicol 2025
March 1, 2024: The Provincial Government of Sorsogon, headed by the amiable Governor – Hon. Edwin “Boboy” B. Hamor, called for a coordination meeting in preparation for the Palarong Bicol 2025.
Atty. Cesar J. Balbaceda, in a 2-hour meeting and consultation, discussed, among others, the importance of having an adequate, safe water supply in selected school billeting and sports facilities in Sorsogon City, Gubat and Casiguran. Each facility is expected to accommodate 400 – 500 persons from different provinces snd cities in Bicol Region.
Hon. John Ryan C. Dioneda, Chairperson- Committee on Sports, Sangguniang Panlalawigan assured water utilities present in the meeting that he will give his full support to accomplish projects and programs geared towards the provision of a 24-hour-a-day water supply in every billeting and sports facilities. Proposals will be discussed come next coordination meeting on March.
A more reliable electrical services during the event next year was also emphasized. Mr. Julius E. Edma, Provincial Youth Development Officer, discussed other concerns and appealed for support from different participating agencies saying that the Provincial Government is currently on planning stage, hence, inputs and suggestions will be most appreciated.
The meeting was attended by PLGU Sorsogon, Dep-Ed City and Province, DPWH 1st and 2nd DEO, Primewater Sorsogon, SORECO, and Casiguran Water District.
