CONG DETTE VISITS OROK

Sorsogon First Congressional District Representative Bernadette “Dette” Escudero visited Orok Cold Spring Resort on May 17, 2024 as part of her social media engagement dubbed as Dettescovery. This is her way of promoting tourist attractions in the Province of Sorsogon.

Cong Dette together with her team conducted and recorded interviews with Orok staff and resort’s guests to form video presentation showcasing the place. The recordings will be shown come next episode of said show – Dettescovery.

Engr. Jomar H. Venus, Ms Ruby R. Buban and Ms. Emma Hachero led CWD management in welcoming the good congresswoman who was simply amazed by the natural beauty of the place.

Orok Cold Spring Resort, considered as one of main tourist destinations during summer season, is owned and managed by Casiguran Water District. It was established on March 24, 2006 and became vital source of revenue utilized not only for the protection of Inlagadian watershed but also for the sustenance of affordable water rates in Casiguran.

Orok boasts of its cold water, measured to be between 20-22 degrees celsius, flowing from natural spring, and located at 280 meters above sea level.  It is considered as natural choice for people who wants to beat the present punishing heat brought about by El Niño phenomenon.

The operation of Orok aims, among others, to attain harmony with nature and with the community. It is a welcome development that our very own Congresswoman Dette Escudero is taking the lead to promote this little paradise in Casiguran.
