BOD ESTABLISHES BARANGAY COLLECTION STATION

The Board of Directors of Casiguran Water District in its regular meeting, held at Conference Room of CWD passed Resolution Number 2021 – 03, on February 4, 2021, establishing Barangay Collection Station (BCS). It aims, among others, to provide accessible facility to water consumers in paying water bills on time not only to avoid penalty but also avoid disconnection.

The CWD-BCS was proposed by Cecilio E. Habalo Jr., the District’s Customer Service Accounts and Billing Section Head. Mr. Habalo pointed out that the objective of BCS is primarily to bring CWD closer to its concessionaires, who will be spared of the very expensive fares in tricycles and jeepneys being charge now; another by-product of the pandemic.

The BCS will also enable the CWD field collectors to be safer as they will be stationed on different Barangay Halls where they can be provided with an office plastic barrier on top of the regular face mask and face shield. The Field Collectors will also be spared from the usual house-to-house collection.

The schedule of BCS in different Barangays will be announced on the CWD Facebook page and CWD Website. Text blasts will also be utilized to inform concessionaires directly to their cell phones. The said schedule will always fall on the due dates of any given zones.

Vice Chairman Mamerto D. Te, during the deliberation for the approval of the BCS said that with the new mode in collecting water bills, the management should look into the safety not only of the government funds to be collected but also that of the field collectors’ safety against Covid 19.
