BCS OUT AND RUNNING
Casiguran Water District-Barangay Collection Station (CWD-BCS), the mobile collection facility, was out and running. The initial run was conducted on March 8 and 9, 2021 at Brgys. Trece Martires and Boton respectively. The CWD-BCS was conducted in consonance with BOD Resolution No. 2021 – 03 dated February 4, 2021.
The BCS is an innovative mode of collection as proposed by Cecilio E. Habalo, Customer Officer Section Head of the District. It is intended to give the concessionaires some relief of having to shoulder the now prevailing high transportation cost. The BOD feels that “office-collection-only” policy will not be applicable at this time of pandemic.
Trece Martires Punong Baranagay Larry Hapin and Jose Corañes of Boton, both expressed gratitude for bringing the District closer to their constituents. They both provided a space in their respective Barangay Halls where the actual water bill collection was conducted.
Massive information campaigns were conducted to inform residents of Trece Martires and Boton of the new BCS. Flyers and text messages via text blast were sent to concerned water concessionaires.
The amount collected from the two initial BCS was very encouraging. More BCS will be established in other barangays outside the poblacion area in the coming months.
