Water Utilities Strengthen Resilience at Emergency Response Workshop

Water district representatives from across the Philippines sharpened their emergency preparedness skills at a workshop held at Villa Isabel Hotel in Sorsogon City, from February 10 to 12, 2025. The event, titled “Water Utilities Moving Towards Resilience: Drafting an Emergency Response Plan,” is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and organized by Vitens Evides International in partnership with the Philippine Association of Water Districts (PAWD).

The workshop offers vital tools and strategies for developing effective emergency response plans, with a focus on maintaining uninterrupted water service during times of crisis. Running daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the event provides hands-on training to help strengthen the resilience of water utilities nationwide.

Representing Casiguran Water District are Production Head Engr. Jomar H. Venus, Cash Management and Collection Head Mr. Leandro H. Duque, and Administrative Aide Mr. Norman M. Habla.

Adhering to its mantra of continuous improvement, Casiguran Water District secures the future of water services for the community and ensures that the district is better equipped to face future challenges by participating in this resilience-building workshop.
