COA CONDUCTS ENTRANCE CONFERENCE FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2024


           September 27, 2024 —
The Commission on Audit (COA) held an entrance conference to kick off the audit process for the calendar year 2024 at Residencia Del Hamor, Casiguran, Sorsogon. The event aimed to outline the audit objectives, procedures, and expectations for the year 2024.

During the conference, the State Auditor IV Supervising Auditor, Ms. Maria Anelyn B. Cubias emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and adherence to established guidelines in financial reporting. The session provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions and clarify any concerns related to the audit process.

This conference sets the stage for a thorough and collaborative audit process, reinforcing our dedication to upholding the highest standards of governance. We also encourage everyone to submit the required documentation promptly,” said Ms. Marilou I. Naldo, State Auditor IV Audit Team Leader.

The conference covered critical topics, including audit timelines, required documentation, and the responsibilities of the auditor and the auditee in facilitating a smooth audit process. Participants were encouraged to engage proactively and maintain open lines of communication with the audit team.

As the Commission on Audit embarks on this year’s audit, it aims to enhance public trust in government institutions by ensuring that financial operations are conducted with integrity and transparency. The COA looks forward to a productive partnership with all entities involved in the audit process.

The Gubat Water District’s General Manager, Engr. Gabriel E. Tiotangco, Sorsogon City Water District’s Interim General Manager and Casiguran Water District’s General Manager, Engr. Eduardo P. Tejada participated in the entrance conference alongside key personnel from their respective districts.
