Casiguran and Sorsogon City Water District’s Unified Team – Wins Overall 1st Runner-Up in 2024 BIWADA Team Building Activity
The Casiguran and Sorsogon City Water District’s unified team has achieved a significant victory by securing the overall 1st runner-up in the 2024 BIWADA Team Building Activity hosted by the Ligao City Water District (LCWD), held last August 27-30, 2024 at Punta Almara Beach Resort, Sitio Tambac, Barangay Maonon, Ligao City.
The four-day event aimed to enhance collaboration, improve communication, and strengthen the bonds among employees from different water districts, while enjoying the serene coastal setting.
Competing against twenty-six (26) water districts from across the region, the unified team demonstrated exceptional performance in various categories, including Zumba and Dance competitions, search for Tuberong Magayon, and Laro ng Lahi, which encouraged collaboration, promoted healthy competition, and not only brought out the competitive spirit among the teams but also emphasized the importance of effective communication and trust.
The Casiguran and Sorsogon City Water Districts won and garnered several awards, showcasing its commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and a positive culture. Tug-of-war—Champion, Kadang-Kadang—Champion, Tumbang Preso—Champion, Basketball— 1st Runner-up, Shot put— 1st Runner-up, Syato— 1st Runner-up, Sipa— 1st Runner-up, Flag raising— 2nd Runner-Up, Dance Sport— 2nd Runner-up, Kawayan relay— 2nd Runner-up.
Engr. Eduardo P. Tejada, the General Manager of Casiguran Water District and Interim General Manager of Sorsogon City Water District, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We are committed to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable water services to our community, and this recognition motivates us to continue our efforts with even more determination.”
The 2024 BIWADA Team Building Activity hosted by the Ligao City Water District was a resounding success.
