Casiguran Water District Confirmed the Completion of On-the-Job Training for Four Students
June 7, 2024: The Casiguran Water District recently confirmed and celebrated the successful completion of on-the-job training (OJT) of four promising students from Computer Communication Development Institute (CCDI) and St. Louise de Marillac College of Sorsogon (SLMCS). The culmination event, held at the district office, marked a significant milestone for the trainees who spent several months gaining practical experience and honing their skills in various operational aspects of the water district.
Ms. Ruby R. Buban, HR/Administrative Officer A, awarded the certificates of completion to the students during simple ceremony held at the CWD Corporate Center. Each student received recognition for their hard work and dedication throughout the training period. In addition to the certificates, the students were also given their allowances as part of the CWD’s support to help them with their educational pursuits.
The student from CCDI rendered 320 hours of training, while the students from SLMCS completed an impressive 600 hours. This rigorous training program allowed them to immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations and gain valuable hands-on experience. They were made to experience actual work conditions.
Ms. Buban congratulated the trainees, emphasizing the importance of practical experience in their professional growth. “We are proud of these students for their commitment and enthusiasm in learning the ropes of our operations. This experience will undoubtedly benefit them as they move forward in their careers,” she remarked.
The students from CCDI and SLMCS expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to be trained and mentored by employees of Casiguran Water District. They highlighted the invaluable lessons they learned and the practical knowledge they gained, which will be instrumental in their future endeavors.
