CWD SUPPORTS KADUNONGAN PROGRAM

 
The Casiguran Water District (CWD) supported the Provincial Government’s “Kadunongan Program” particularly the “A-One Youth Survival Camp” by supplying safe water to participants and facilitators.The activity was held at the Eco Camp Site at Brgy Inlgadian, Casiguran, Sorsogon from April 6 to 7, 2024.
The CWD Water Resource Team headed by Engr. Jomar H. Venus facilitated the necessary engineering interventions to provide efficiently the much-needed water supply, ensuring the success of the said event. Water Maintenance Head Simeon Haboc also installed additional hydrant, serving as auxiliary water source for the campers.
 
The survival camp was participated by 150 young campers from different municipalities and city, requiring a large volume of water to meet basic human needs. The two-day survival camp includes,
among others, team-building activities, basic cooking and games.
 
CWD Engineering Team ensured the continued supply of safe water all throughout the duration of the noble undertaking. The Provincial Government demonstrated its resolve to provide opportunity for learnings to young potential leaders. Gov. Edwin “Boboy” Hamor personally supervised the conduct of
the event.
 
The culminating activity or the so-called victory party was held at Orok Cold Spring Resort, a stone-throw away from the camp site. The said resort is owned and managed by CWD.
